Toshiba Qosmio X875 is one of the few gaming laptop models with a 17-inch diagonal present at CES 2013. If at first glance it looks like a regular laptop, inside it one can find the latest components that allow the product to be used as a laptop for gaming.
The new element in this Toshiba Qosmio E 875 is a hybrid hard drive, with no less than 1 TB. This shows the first 2.5-inch hard disk ever with 1TB storage capacity and 8GB NAND flash memory, which allows it to perform operations faster and catch much higher speeds when reading and writing than common hard disks. Moreover, Toshiba representatives say that this type of hard drive reduces significantly the start-up time of the applications and that of reading and writing.
The 17-inch HD screen operates at a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, with Truebrite TFT LED 3D ready display, thanks to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M video card with 3D Vision. Toshiba Qosmio X875 is equipped with an Intel i7 processor and features 3GB GDDR5 RAM.
As about the design, the laptop looks great, with a sophisticated black aluminium casing with red accents, which show up in the middle the Qosmio logo, which is lit when the laptop is in use.
The product shown at CES 2013 has captured the eyes of gamers attending the meeting, who were waiting to get their hands on such a laptop. They did not have to wait long, because Qosmio was available for purchase in early February, priced at around $ 1500.
