The technical configuration of the newest desktop PC was recently revealed, allowing fast access to the Internet and remarkable safety, considering that it comes with Windows 8, the most recent operating system from Microsoft, pre-installed. Everything for the user to live the Windows 8 experience in touch screen format. This is not all though, because under the totally unimpressive case of the Toshiba LX 835, there is a pretty good configuration for a home user and even for low cost professional use.
Behind the conservative look, the PC hides an Intel Core i7 3630 QM processor which works at a 2.4 GHz frequency and it’s helped by the 8 GB of DDR SDRAM memory at a 1.6 GHz frequency. On top of that, the computer has a storage space of 2 TB in a hard drive running at 5400 rotations per minute and a Nvidia GeForce 630 M video card with 2 GB of dedicated memory.
Toshiba LX 835 costs roughly 1400 dollars and it’s worth every penny, considering that it comes with Windows 8 64 bit version, while if acquired with Windows 7, it costs roughly 1000 dollars. This computer doesn’t do bad in the tests either – for instance, for an image processing test in Adobe Photoshop CS 5, it got a score of 195 points, even though sthe lowest compared with its rivals Vizio CA24T (with an i5 processor) or Asus ET2300INTI (also with an i5 processor).
